Well, after two weeks break for international games, the Liga is back with a vengeance. Two great games tonight - Villareal-Barça at 8pm and Espanyol-Real Madrid at 10pm. A feast of football, but ... How on earth am I going to be able to find how England are getting on against South Africa in the Rugby World Cup final? They certainly won't be watching it in the bar!
Well, I watched the game at the Chinos (the Frankfurt is closed for decorating). It didn't go well. Villrreal scored in the second minute and then put away a penalty 10 minutes later. Some anti-Catalans applauded profusely. Bojan got one back and became the youngest Barça player to score in the history of the Liga. But Villarreal were the better team and scored another penalty later in the game. We lost 3-1. No complaints. Tired, unimaginative, no control in midfield, no Ronaldinho. An all round depressing experience.
I got back home and watched England lose to South Africa on Internet and Espanyol beat Real Madrid 2-1 on telly. Let's be thankful for small mercies. Great goal by Tamudo. The top of the table is tight RM, Villarreal, Valencia and Barça - two points between them. A fun season!
