We have been waiting on results for Freddie, Barnie's brother, and he is in the clear - no feline leukemia. Used the old technique of getting busy, for instance doing a portrait of Barnie in pastels while we were waiting for news of Fred.. Again it worked in both senses.

Here we all are again - riding the back of the tiger in October. Bizarre weather patterns and we havent got to the autumn equinox yet; stinking financial climate on a global scale - I have taken the position that in the end "they" wont do anything so stupid as to bring the financial system to the abyss so I shall just ride it out...

Way back at the beginning of the year having visited my neighbours' goat and sheep farm I did some research on cheesemaking. Well finally I got my act together and had a first experimental trial with feta as it is quick and easy and you dont have to wait six months to eat it....

That time spent in the studio has paid so many dividends and I am pleased with the way my skills and knowledge of different media has grown. Pastels, watercolour learning to use chinese paints are all developing skills under her tutulage. See earlier diary.

The season has just slipped into almond picking mode again. Hardly believable. Out come the cook books for figs with everything...... Everyone else in the world seems to have gone to UK or are on the playa here in Murcia . Phone calls dont get answered;, work is on hold; but still we have to battle with the hunter saga again.
