Now in its second edition, "Going Native in Murcia" by Debbie Jenkins and husband Marcus, is still the undisputed bible for expats living in and moving to the Murcia region of Spain.
With the first book's solid sales and strong following over the past 4 years however, Debbie decided it was time to write a new book especially for property buyers - whether they're looking to invest, retire or live and work in the Murcia region permanently.
Debbie, who lives and now owns 3 homes in Murcia, says, "Although the current book gives an overview of the buying process it is much more of a living guide for people who've just landed. This second book will bridge the gap with savvy, accurate information about the various parts of the region from a property buyer's perspective."
Debbie's first book, which she self published due to frustration with the lack of any in-depth information in
other guide books, led to the formation of her small publishing business - BookShaker, which from humble beginnings has gone on to publish 37 titles (achieving 5 bestsellers) in under 3 years.
She is currently looking for case studies from other expats, investors and retirees who have bought a home in Murcia. ABOUT DEBBIE JENKINS
Debbie Jenkins lives with her husband Marcus and their two dogs (Dani and Fuggles) in the mountains above La Murta where she also has a cave home. With a population of just 101 people Debbie's new home is a far cry from the big city life she left behind in the UK. As well as 2 homes near La Murta Debbie and Marcus are currently renovating a large 3-storey townhouse in Moratalla.
