My husband and I moved out to San Juan de los Terreros in Almeria in May, this year with our 2 Cavalier Spaniel pups, Brinkley & Brandy. I have been keeping a record of our move since we made the decision 18 months ago. I love writing about our new life and hope that others contemplating following their dream will find help and reality from it. Since we have moved we have had many highs and a few lows, the most difficult being the loss of my father a few weeks ago.

Mary Eames' studio has been my haven during this "annus horribilis".  I started taking lessons with her and do a class once a week.  That time spent in the studio has paid so many dividends  and I am pleased with the way my skills and knowledge of different media has grown.  Pastels, watercolour learning to use chinese paints are all developing skills under her tutulage.
