Study abroad for career

Put yourself in the shoes of an employer: you're looking at a long list of job applicants – all have college degrees, most have had good grades and many have related work experience. After the filtering process you're still left with a sizeable list of names on paper, and although you'd love to interview everybody (you don't want to miss the right person) you're working on a deadline and a limited budget.

Location Guide - Alicante

There are some Spanish destinations that seem destined only to be known for their airports. Holidaymakers land at concrete jungles such as Malaga and jump on the bus or into their hire car and see nothing of the vibrant Cities in which they land.

Best known for its Marine reserve this completely flat and tiny island (1750m x 300m) is also worth a visit for its church, lightouse and the old Fort walls on the western side of the island.

Alicante

Population: 332,000

A historic Mediterranean port the city of Alicante (Alacant in Catalan) is one of Spain's fastest growing cities thanks to the huge influx of tourists visiting the Costa Blanca beaches each year who land at Alicante airport.

Alicante Airport (ALC) serves many international and budget airlines and is located 11 km south of the city. Many car rental companies are located here too.

Alicante has a new (2003) Tram line connecting the harbour to the suburb of El Campello making it easy for tourists and locals in the city to get to the beach. Further Tram connections into Benidorm are currently in progress.

Alicante has a spacious harbor and hosts regular ferry services to the Balearic Islands.
