Torrent is found within the metropolitan area of Valencia just 7km from the capital and with a metro connection to the capital city. The municipality of Torrent is also the largest within the area known as Horta Sud.
A curious little cafe worth a visit is the Café Teatro Lo Rat in Calle Padre Méndez where they host concerts and small theatrical productions such as monologues. The comercial centre in Avenida País Valencia is also missed by many as it is outside of the main town, with a selection of bars, shops and restaurants and supermarket.
