Marcus Drinks from his Porrón
Submitted by debsjenkins on Fri, 18/05/2007 - 18:08.This is Marcus drinking wine from his porrón at our local fiesta in La Murta.
This is an old and traditional container used in Spain to serve and drink wine and is an ideal way to share wine with a group of friends. At the bottom of the porrón is a long spout which you hold
in front of your face with the spout pointing towards you. To drink you need to tilt it
slightly until a thin stream of wine comes out.
La Azohia

UPGRADE
Submitted by admin on Thu, 17/05/2007 - 12:04.Hi
we've just upgraded to a new version of the software - and thought we'd do a facelift at the same time - hope you like it. Let us know if anything is odd or doesn't work right for you.
Warch out in the next few weeks for a reviews section - you'll be able to review beaches, restaurants, hotels, and more...

Poor Fuggles
Submitted by debsjenkins on Thu, 17/05/2007 - 09:55.Our dog Fuggles needs an operation. Poor thing.
He started limping a little last week, the vet did some x-rays (after sedating him heavily) and showed the images to an expert at Murcia Veterinary Uni - he needs to have a screw put in his elbow.
Fuggles is the one on the left!
Now, for most dogs this would be an easy procedure - sedate dog, do operation, take dog home, dog rests for a couple of weeks, remove stitches 1 week later - all done.
Scuba Diving
Submitted by debsjenkins on Thu, 17/05/2007 - 09:48.On saturday we did our first dive of the year. It was cold in the sea ;-)
I only started diving last year. If you'd said to me last May that I'd be mad about diving I would have thought you were bonkers - and told you so in no uncertain terms. I was afraid of the sea and was a very poor swimmer. My breast stroke consisted of me pushing my head so far out of the water that it sometimes looked like I was doing back stroke! I hated to get my face in the water, I'd gag and panic.
About May of last year Marcus passed his Open Water Diver PADI certificate (a gift I'd bought him) - and was completely hooked on diving.
