Graham Ellis & Celia Hunt
Submitted by Graham on Sat, 16/06/2007 - 12:06.Hello All,
We currently live near Southampton, but are looking to relocate to Spain. So we are at the "research" stage of the project. I've only been to Spain once - this Easter to Salou and despite the fact we only had 5 hours sunshine throughout the whole week (we made good use of ALL our clothes as we wore them layered most of the time!) I want to return.
The adventure begins

Condado de Alhama
Submitted by dringman on Sat, 16/06/2007 - 11:22.Condado de Alhama.
I am looking for anyone in Murcia who passes the Polaris site and would take a few photos for me. I have numerous people on another web site that is based in Costa del Sol eager for info and any pictures. Would be really pleased to see another site that is more interested in Murcia to get updates. Condado is going to become as large as any major town in Murcia and is going to have an impact on the area.
What do locals or expats think about this. Is Polaris a good thing for Murcia? What do you think about Golf resorts?
Puerto Lumbreras
Submitted by Susan Bearder on Tue, 12/06/2007 - 15:05.Amazingly it has a parador at the edge of town which probably lurks at the bottom of the parador list. However we have seen the ayuntamiento and others take enormous strides in turning this into a lovely little town.
Macey's Bar - End of 1st Week
Submitted by aandjontour on Mon, 11/06/2007 - 22:57.We've had our first week here now and things seem to be going really well (fingers crossed!).
The work on the bar has started and is due to be finished at the end of next week. We've learnt some valuable lessons so early on.
Lesson 1 - Loss of Appetite. We've both lost our appetite mainly due to the heat we think. Food is becoming a bind to think about and indecision is more the norm than the exception!
The rain in Spain
Submitted by Babs on Mon, 11/06/2007 - 09:31.We stayed in Puerto Mazarron over Easter - our first time. The village was well laid out and easy to get around. The restaurants were varied in theme and price with something for everyone. The only bad thing I found was the lack of drains on the roads! There was a terrific amount of rainfall while we were there and nowhere for it to go!
