We're open!!!!!

The building work started on time and only took 10 days to complete. Jenine's Aunty and Uncle (Sally and Ted) came out for a week to help tile floors and paint. The job looked worse than it actually was but the heat was unbearable to work in. We now know why Siesta's are important out here. We're all sure we lost a stone each just from the sweat!

I'm sorry to say that it's been over a month since my last email to you. The reason for this is that we've been doing some house-keeping on our publishing business so we can put all our effort into making this NativeSpain.com site even better.

We had the best whole calamari we have ever had at this little resort. A dip of the toe in the sea and a few pebbles in the pocket and off we went to the headland. Before you get there you drive past a well run bird reserve with hides on Las Salinas of Cabo de Gata. A stiff drive up to the light house and the view is spectacular.  On the way down we had stopped off at a sweet little whiteLas Negras village of Nijar. Excellent artisan shopping particularly for rugs,

This little beach with a couple of fish retaurants could be anywhere along the mediterranean - reminded me of Crete. Let it stay like this for ever!!!

The headland is superb at Cabo de Gata but so is much of the coast up towards Carbonares
