Queuing outside th Plza de Toros for the concert
Submitted by Susan Bearder on Sat, 14/07/2007 - 13:52.A Load of Bull at Moratalla's Fiesta
Submitted by joegregory on Fri, 13/07/2007 - 17:15.The main fiesta for Moratalla is between the 11th and 17th of July for Cristo del Rayo and our house is on the main route for all the bulls. Julie and I were unable to make it out in time to enjoy this year's festivities, but Debs and Marcus (we'd be in real trouble without them) made sure our front door was well protected by putting up bars like you can see on our neigbours' houses. This is a photo Marcus took (from the relative safety of our front step) of one set of bulls - although they run through town daily!
Macey's Bar - July
Submitted by aandjontour on Wed, 11/07/2007 - 03:20.Well we've certainly had fun and games and not necessarily to do with the bar!
Andy's mum and dad came to stay with us on th 4th July and we we're saying how nice the neighbourhood we lived in was. We were proven wrong. The problems started early Monday morning.
A Bull Walks into a Bar...
Submitted by debsjenkins on Tue, 10/07/2007 - 18:15.No, it's not the beginnings of some over-used joke (although it could be).
My brother's house in Moratalla, which we've nicknamed "The Bull House", is directly in the line of fire from Bulls that run through the streets during Moratalla's main fiesta in July. Joe and his wife Julie couldn't make it out in time to erect necessary defences so we did it for them.
Now, if there are any accidents, the bars should take the brunt of the bull's charge and not the front door!
