Submitted by Simon Harris on Thu, 24/01/2008 - 22:43.I couldn't bring myself to write about this game at the time - too much emotion, like! So I'll sum it up in a few words.
Before the game...
Our father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
In Barcelona as it is in heaven.
After the game...
Oh Lord, why hast thou forsaken us?

La Plaça del Diamant
Submitted by Simon Harris on Tue, 22/01/2008 - 22:42.I'm reading 'La Plaça del Diamant' by Mercè Rodoreda at the moment. It´s difficult to put into words what an amazing book this is.
It tells the story of Colometa, the Pigeon Girl, in the barri of Gràcia. She´s not particularly intelligent or particularly interesting. But it is through her eyes that we experience a snapshot of time that begins in the late 1920s spans the Civil War and finishes under Francoism's early shadow.
