23-Sevilla Away
Submitted by Simon Harris on Sat, 09/02/2008 - 22:28.Big game tonight. Half the team are injured or otherwise indisposed after the international games on Wednesday. If we lose this one, it's goodby Liga and goodbye Frank (I hope).

I'm so emotionally bruised and battered that it's Wednesday and only now can I bring myself to write up what happened.

Submitted by Yolanda Solo on Fri, 08/02/2008 - 14:58.Population: 26,792
Rota is an important tourist destination in the Bay of Cadiz (Bahía de Cadiz) and is the home of a joint US and Spanish naval base which is also an important income source for the area.
Popular with windsurfers as it opens out on to the Atlantic, while two of its beaches - Playa de la Costilla and Punta Candor - have been awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness and facilities.

Chiclana is one of the five towns in the Bay of Cadiz (Bahía de Cadíz) together with Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa María, Puerto Réal and San Fernando.
The greater part of Chiclana is part of the Bay of Cadiz Nature Reserve and its main attractions are the beaches of Playa La Barrosa in the south and Playa de Santi Petri in the south-west, as well as the Fuente Amarga spa.
Arcos de la Frontera
Submitted by Yolanda Solo on Thu, 07/02/2008 - 16:03.Population: 29.905
Arcos de la Frontera is a stunning traditional pueblo blanco (white village) set high on a sandstone ridge overlooking the Guadalete River.
The historic centre of Arcos is made up of narrow cobbled streets and beautiful architecture such as 18th century palacios - many of the buildings have been declared Historic-Artistic Monuments.
The reservoir at the bottom of Arcos (Embalse de Arcos) is a good place to go swimming and part of the reservoir is protected as it is an important location for migratory birds.
Gibraltar
Submitted by Yolanda Solo on Thu, 07/02/2008 - 14:21.Population: 28,750
Gibraltar is little piece of England located at the southern end of the Cadiz province, with a total area of less than six square kilometres.
As a british ´colony´ the currency in Gibraltar is British pounds and the main language is English although you hear many locals using a strange mix of both Spanish and English.
Here you will find many of the well known high street shops you are used to seeing in the UK such as Marks & Spencers clustered on or around the Main Street shopping area.
