Property Buyer’s Checklist

When purchasing a property in Spain, or indeed anywhere, there are certain steps you should take in order to bring about the best result possible, and hopefully, to land yourself that dream house abroad. Taking time to visit the area in which you are thinking of buying and seeing as many properties as possible is really the best method of ensuring you have the widest range of choices available to you.

Strange Visitors in the Night

I live in a finca in a rural urbanisation where only a handful of the houses have permanent residents.  To many the idea of being without neighbours is too frightening to contemplate especially when things go bump in the night.

It is funny how years of living in a dangerous area in a big city like London never really leaves you, even after being in Spain for three years.

Manises

Population: 29,717

Manises sits on the right hand side of the Turia river and is also the location of Valencia airport just 8.5km from the city centre.

With a strong tradition of handicrafts Manises is famous for its ceramics and the museum has a collection of over 2,500 fine examples dating from the 14th century to the present.

Surrounding Manises are large natural areas such as the pine forest of the Cañada and the natural park Salt del Moro with its 49,000 square metres.
