Alcalá the Royal, is a large country town, its fortress La Mota has a strategic position between Cordoba and Granada. This area was occupied by the Muslims from 713 and was part of Zirid   Kingdom of Granada in the taifa period.

Being an England supporter and an adopted Catalan, it's going to be tough giving my full support to Spain throughout this Eurocopa. However, I'll do my best.

I'm feeling reasonably optimistic about tonight's game against Russia and am looking forward to see how Fernando Torres combines with Villa upfront. Still a bit annoyed that Victor Valdes isn't playing in goals, though!

I have lived here in Spain for nearly 11 years and one of the things I miss about England is the accessibility to buy and sell items.  If you buy a car you can spend ages trying to sell it again.  If you want a certain item in England where would you look?  Local Paper, Ebay!   I used to use Ebay but found the postage costs to Spain too high. Not only that Ebay now charge extortionate fees. 

La importància dels arbres i plantes en el nostre entorn ve no solament del fet que embelleixen la vista i fan més agradable la vida humana, sinó que de l'ajuda que els vegetals signifiquen per a la nostre vida, especialment per a la neteja de l'atmosfera i la disponibilitat d'oxigen per a la respiració.

Un dels espais dels mitjans de comunicació que atreu més l'atenció és el temps. Veure o sentir l'home del temps i demanar silenci és tot u. Fixem la nostra atenció en els mapes del temps i observem els isòbares que ens indiquen si hi ha un anticicló o una depressió a prop o damunt nostre. En el primer cas, tots sabem que farà sol, que potser hi harà boires a les fondalades o que continuarà la secada. En canvi, di hi ha una depressió pot ser que plogui, fins i tot que hi hagi alguna tempesta amb llamps i trons i que a muntanya hi hagi neu.
