It's Friday and I should be on the golf course.
Submitted by jacquib on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 12:07.One of the main reasons for choosing to live in the warmest, driest place in Spain was so that we could play golf all year round. Well, this week has been a challenge. We play at a new course just outside Terreros called Aguilon. It's a fabulous course set in the foothills of the mountains, with views over the sea. They have retained all the natural ravines and it's a really challenging course for a high handicapper like myself, I play off 28. My husband manages better but then he is a better golfer.
A brief introduction
Submitted by jacquib on Thu, 09/10/2008 - 17:05.My husband and I moved out to San Juan de los Terreros in Almeria in May, this year with our 2 Cavalier Spaniel pups, Brinkley & Brandy. I have been keeping a record of our move since we made the decision 18 months ago. I love writing about our new life and hope that others contemplating following their dream will find help and reality from it. Since we have moved we have had many highs and a few lows, the most difficult being the loss of my father a few weeks ago.
Another Year in Spain -October 2008

Here we all are again - riding the back of the tiger in October. Bizarre weather patterns and we havent got to the autumn equinox yet; stinking financial climate on a global scale - I have taken the position that in the end "they" wont do anything so stupid as to bring the financial system to the abyss so I shall just ride it out...
